Guandi, Murals and Yellow River Sites
Xiezhou Guandi Temple is the cultural gateway, with axis buildings, plaques, old trees and Guandi belief context. Keep the visit respectful and do not touch ritual objects or old structures. Yongle Palace in Ruicheng is one of the key mural sites in Shanxi; the Sanqing Hall murals deserve quiet attention, no flash and, ideally, a proper explanation.
Yongji can combine Guanque Tower, Pujiu Temple and Pujin Ferry Site. Guanque Tower is about the Yellow River and Zhongtiao Mountain view, Pujiu Temple is tied to the West Chamber story, and Pujin Ferry Site preserves the iron-oxen and old crossing context. These places are close enough to form a day, but summer sun, winter wind and county transfers still matter.
